Jason and Jamar’s Wedding at Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas

Jason and Jamar were so much fun to work with! I was really excited to get to work with them and was looking forward to their wedding day since the moment they booked me! They had their wedding ceremony at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas, and their reception took place at Record Downtown. 

They had originally planned for a small and intimate wedding, but had to change their reception venue to provide a bigger space to fit everyone who wanted to come to celebrate with them! They were very surprised by all the love and support they received but were ultimately grateful and willing to make changes to accommodate everyone. This wedding was truly special. I’ve never experienced a wedding with so much love and positive vibes. Their friends and family came from all over to see them get married!

Did I mention that Jason and Jamar are so cute together?! They are so different from each other, but they compliment each other so well. Even though their wedding day was the first time I was meeting them in person, I could tell that they just bring out the best in each other! Jamar was so smiley, cheery and happy to be there, and Jason was just as happy, but he had some nerves. But, Jamar was very easily able to calm him down and eased his mind throughout the day. I thought it was so sweet how they loved and helped each other throughout the day. 

The ceremony started with a huge processional! Jason and Jamar walked down the aisle with each of their moms, which I thought was so sweet! The ceremony only got sweeter from there. They had a family member write a poem for them, and it was about bringing two families and two people together in love. It was a perfect piece of art to represent the love that Jason and Jamar share!

The Cooper chapel in Bella Vista is always really beautiful to photograph and it was made even better by some surprisingly nice weather that day. It had actually been hot all week, but on their wedding day it cooled down a bit and it was so refreshing!

The reception had a classy but modern vibe. My favorite part was the string quartet. They were so good! I don’t get to see too many of these, so this made it extra special! Unlike most couples who take some “just married” photos right after the ceremony while their guests head to a cocktail hour or the reception, Jason and Jamar rushed to the reception hall to get there before everyone else. They wanted to be there for a receiving line so they could literally greet every single person who was there for them! I have so many photos of everyone hugging and greeting the couple. I was just in awe of how much love they were giving and how much love was given to them. 

This was definitely a wedding that was so sweet and meaningful that I will never forget it. It was just such a great day, and I’m really glad I had the opportunity to just meet them and witness all the love, let alone be able to capture the beginning of the rest of their lives!
