Kaiyah’s Spontaneous Senior Session with Senior Photographer in Bentonville Arkansas | Class of 2022

Q

Bentonville, Arkansas Senior Photographer

This past May, Kaiyah and her mom reached out to me to be the high school senior photographer for her upcoming graduation. I love senior photos, because they’re so much fun! I get to be creative and just have an awesome time with my client!

I just loved Kaiyah’s personality! We met up with each other in downtown Bentonville and I was just immediately impressed by how bubbly, easy going and fun she was. Her mom came along for this senior photos, and I could tell that her and her mom have an awesome relationship! We spent most of the session having fun and giggling and talking about all the things that Kaiyah is looking forward to after graduation!

We started off in Compton Gardens and Arboretum in Bentonville, Arkansas. We wanted to get that lush spring greenery in her photos, and they came out amazing!

Senior Photographer “Go-To” Locations

Next, we went to the parking garage downtown. This is one of my senior photographer “go-to” locations because everyone loves it! It’s such a fun place and a good way to catch the sunset or the Bentonville water tower in the background. It gives this great urban vibe without having to worry about having a bunch of people around. (Need locations for your senior session? Check out my 100 places to take photos in Arkansas!)

Then, she changed into a more casual, flowy and fun set of gray pants and a pretty white top. With this outfit, we were able to get a lot more casual shots. But, then she changed into a pretty white dress as the sun went down for those perfect Golden Hour photos!

She brought her cap and gown to the session, and those photographs are always fun to get! Seniors always feel silly wearing them, but it’s such a fun thing to remember. So, we were able to convince her to wear her cap and gown and honestly they became some of her favorite photos!

Senior Pictures With Jeep

One of the last things we captured was Kaiyah’s jeep! Kaiyah just loves her Jeep, but she was a little nervous to ask me if we could get some photos of her with it! But of course I said “Totally!” So, we did some fun model-like shots with her jeep.

Kaiyah is an awesome girl, and she wants to go to college and become a realtor like her mom. I really like how she talked a lot about her family and how much she loves them! They all seem so close, and I think that’s awesome!

For the Special Memories

Finally, one of the things that I always love to do with seniors is get pics of them with their mom or dad or whoever is there with them! I always make sure to put mom in front of the camera, because these are the photos that moms always want! One of the best things about being a senior photographer is being able to capture the bond between the senior and “their person”. And it’s always so special and meaningful to the mom to have a photo of just the two of them!
