Ashley and Jacob’s early Fall Big Cedar Wedding was beautiful! It was simple, classic, and intimate.
Ashley and Jacob wanted a wedding surrounded by only their closest family and friends. Everyone who was special to them was there to celebrate their beautiful love story!
Ashley and Jacob actually met at work! The both worked at the same pharmacy in Fort Smith, Arkansas when Jacob finally asked Ashley out just a few days before she was moving to a new location in Northwest Arkansas!
She said yes and they went on a quick and casual date just before she moved. Needless to say, they hit it off right away and kept in touch! The next thing they knew they were engaged and planning a Big Cedar Wedding!
Their wedding day is one of my favorites. The weather was perfect and the colors of Big Cedar were bright and vibrant after a week of rain!
THE FIRST LOOK
First looks are some of my favorite moments during a wedding day! When my couples opt in for a first look, it gives more flexibility in the wedding day timeline.
Jacob’s reaction to seeing Ashley is absolutely priceless! He had the biggest smile on his face for the rest of the day. We took some time to let them talk and take the moment in before we took some portraits of just the two of them!
BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS
Because Jacob and Ashley decided to do a first look, we were able to allocate some time before the ceremony to get photos of just the two of them. We chose to do their first look at the Garden Chapel at Big Cedar Lodge.
These are always so much fun because the couple is more relaxed and excited about the day and there isn’t so much pressure to rush after the ceremony to get some great portraits. After all, these are some of the photos you’re most likely going to print and hang in your home!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was located inside of the beautiful white Garden Chapel at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson.
This chapel is one of my favorites because of all of the big tall windows, white walls, natural wood flooring and seating with a touch of modern lighting!
The music for the ceremony was given by a live violinist which added just the perfect classic touch. Their officiant and I were able to chat a little before as I noticed the book he was holding! He told me his wife had made it for him to write all of the weddings he officiates in them. I thought that was so cool and had to photograph this handmade memory book!
The ceremony overall was lovely and there were many tears and laughs throughout. My favorite is how happy Jacob and Ashley look coming down the aisle after saying I do!
A BEAUTIFUL RECEPTION TO FOLLOW
The rest of the day consisted of photos with family and friends, lots of yummy food, cake and dancing!
Some of my favorite moments was Ashley and Jacobs first dance. It was right at golden hour and some of the most beautiful photos i’ve taken! I loved that they were in the moment and having fun! Jacob twirled and dipped Ashley and I caught some genuine smiles!
I still smile everytime I look at those photos! Keep scrolling to see more from Jacob and Ashley’s Big Cedar Wedding in Branson, Missouri!
