Newborn photography is a change of pace for me. But, I love getting to do a newborn session every now and again. I’m done having kids. But, I absolutely love children and I love getting to just bask in the love these families give their kids. Their homes are just filled with so much love you can feel it when you walk in! So I connected with the family quickly and easily.
When I showed up to their home, it had so much character! They had recently renovated the inside, and the nursery was so beautiful. The room was painted and completely decorated. It had books and little wooden trains all over! They themed the room around the books – The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, and Peter Rabbit. The color scheme in the room was just so pretty! I just loved being able to be in the room and see the family just be together!
Baby James was such a cute and sweet little baby. He didn’t even cry, not even once! A lot of the time the photos I took of them were candid, and just natural. It was so sweet! I really didn’t even have to pose them. Like when his parents were trying to sooth Baby James and get him to go to sleep. It was so sweet and natural, and I didn’t even have to tell them what to do, they were just perfect so I could capture all the photos I needed!
Probably my most favorite moment in the whole shoot was when Baby James opened up his bright blue eyes and he looked at his mother. It was just this super sweet moment and you could really tell the bond of love between them!
That’s what makes newborn photography super special. There is so much innocence and love in the room that you are just filled completely up with joy! And I absolutely getting to do photo sessions like this!
